Baby Shower Photo Garland

I hosted a baby shower for my dear friend Elizabeth this weekend in Charlottesville.  I wanted a way to display baby pictures of the parents-to-be and Flannery suggested making a photo garland/banner!  I found some inspiration on Etsy (of course!) and headed to Michael's.  I love the Martha Stewart collection at Michael's - she seems to have exactly what I need, no matter what the craft is.  If you need a cheap, easy & quick decoration for any type of event, this is the craft for you!

Here's what I ended up purchasing:
glue stick
1/8" white satin ribbon
1/8" hole punch
Martha Stewart's "Mat Pad"

Martha's (we're on a first name basis) Mat Pad comes in various themes & colors.  I chose the baby boy pack.  They are the perfect size to mat 4x6 photos and there are 24 pieces in each pack.

So, I glued each of the baby pictures on a piece of paper.  I hole punched two holes at the top of each paper and then strung them on the ribbon!  I made two garland's - one with pictures hanging vertically and one with pictures hanging horizontally.  I alternated photos of Elizabeth & Andrew. It took me no more than an hour - EASY!!!  If I do say so myself, they turned out pretty adorable.
