New Project UPDATE

I did it! I knew by posting prior to actually attempting the project that I would stick with it and not give up. I did not "whip it up" in 30 minutes or even an hour like a lot of sewing bloggers do, I kept at it all afternoon and then later last night. Of course, I had to entertain my 2 year old, throw some laundry in and talk to my sis-in-law (Hi Amy!) in between but I didn't stop 'cause I knew you'd be asking about it!

So, without further ado... here it is!




I couldn't bear to try and learn how to do the pockets, but I added my favorite pom pom fringe! It was a very easy project. The directions are great and the only part I had trouble with was putting the bottom hem on the yellow piece. Matching up the shirred fabric with the flat fabric was a bit tricky for me. I can't wait to try it again... the girls love the twirly-ness of the skirt and are clamoring for more!
