Project Takes a Different Turn....

So, remember all of my Cath Kidston material that I ordered for a nursery makeover?  And my idea for a fabric garland?  Well, my mom came up (to help with new bebe) and convinced me that using the beautiful CK fabric on a garland was a waste; why not make a duvet for the bebes room since I have been looking for one anyway?  Here's what Mimi made.  Wish I could take credit.  Wish I was even remotely talented enough to do this.  Maybe one day when I don't have 3 pairs of hands pulling on me all day??

What do I love most about this?
1. The colors--my favorite combination of primary colors.
2. The red vintage buttons on the back, all different.
3. It's sooooo cozy!
4. The way Mimi placed the fabric, coordinating on the diagonal.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.  Don't you?

Flann, did you see my blog posts about the pieced duvet cover I made? I still need to post pics of the finished product, but it was so quick and easy and looks great. Yay for duvets!
