Holiday Gift Tag Tutorial

Looking for a way to spruce up or personalize your holiday packages?
How bout something you can do with your kids?
Try this to put you in the Christmas spirit!

Start with your supplies:
--Card Stock: plain or decorative
--Stamps from Jo-Ann's: Ho, Ho, Ho, individual letters (we love these),
graphics like Christmas trees, etc.  Be creative here.
--Stamp pads: You can find these in the dollar bins at Target or Jo-Ann's.
--Hole punch
--Holiday ribbon: A thinner ribbon works best for this project.
--Tag paper punch from Michaels: These are really handy to have around.
--Optional: Markers, crayons, glitter, stickers

It is best to start with an assembly line.  Lay everything out on your work table.
That way you and your kids can work your way through the line.

First punch out your gift tag using the paper punch.

Next take your hole punch and punch a hole in the top of each gift tag.

Cut your ribbon approximately 6 inches long.

Pinch the two ends together and thread through the hole in the tag.

Thread the ends through the loop and pull tightly to secure the ribbon to the gift tag.

Use your letter stamps to start stamping your message.  It's easiest to stick to one color stamp pad. Colleen lined up all her cards and did the letter "t" on all of them and then the letter "o"
and then started the names.

Here's where you can add whatever it is you want to spruce up your tags.
The girls put their artistic stamp on things with some hand drawn Christmas trees.

But we also like the simplicity of these.

On a package.  (One of many, many for baby boy's first Christmas.)

Merry Christmas to you from us!  Hope your have a happy and full holiday.
